The Kikoy is a traditional garment worn by men and women in East Africa. Made out of 100% cotton.

The Kikoy is a rectangle of pure cotton, a work of art. The edges always include a border of some kind and the ends have a strip of different coloured thread to the rest of the weft which is called a kapala, the ends are then left in threads of up to three inches. These threads are hand-knotted into thin plaits to form a fringe, the true mark of a good Kikoy is in the knotting!

The Kikoy comes in a variety of vibrant colours, inspired by the colours of the East African coastline and can be worn as a sarong, scarf, wrap or in your own personal way.

The Kikoy can be used as a beach towel, or a cover up to a curtain.
